1. Data Controller
The entity responsible for processing personal data collected through the Portal de Alojamento Universitário (hereinafter, the “Portal”) is JAVALI – Administração e Desenvolvimento de Sistemas Informáticos, Lda., with its registered office at Quinta da Torre, 2825-182 Caparica, registered at the Commercial Registry Office of Almada under the unique registration and tax identification number 506 206 173.

2. Purposes of Data Processing
Personal data will be processed for the following purposes:
a) Provision of Portal services, including:
- User registration;
- Management of searches and listings;
- Contact between users and advertisers;
- Issuance of accounting documents.
b) Handling of enquiries, complaints, or contact requests.
c) Sending communications, upon prior consent, related to:
- News and updates regarding the Portal;
- Changes to your user profile or listings;
- Requests for feedback through satisfaction surveys.
d) Payment processing, in the case of paid services.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of your personal data is based on:
- Performance of a contract: for the services indicated in section a);
- Legitimate interest: to respond to enquiries and complaints (section b));
- Consent of the data subject: for the sending of communications (section c)).

Your data may be disclosed to:
- Interested parties you contact via the Portal;
- Judicial or administrative authorities, for compliance with legal obligations;
- Technology service providers, acting as data processors, who process data on behalf of JAVALI and in full compliance with the GDPR.
There are currently no transfers of data outside the European Economic Area.
5. Data Retention Period
Personal data will be stored:
- For as long as the contractual or service relationship is in effect;
- Until your enquiry or complaint has been resolved;
- Until you withdraw your consent, in the case of optional communications;
- Until you request the deletion of your data, where legally permitted.
If you are an advertiser, your phone number will be blocked after the removal of your last listing and retained for a period of six years for legal and security purposes.
6. Mandatory Information and Data Accuracy
Some fields on forms are mandatory. Failure to provide these details may prevent the provision of requested services.
The user undertakes to provide only accurate and up-to-date information, and must report any changes or corrections to:

7. Data Subject Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Rectify inaccurate or outdated data;
- Erase your data, where legally permissible;
- Restrict processing, in case of accuracy or lawfulness disputes;
- Object to processing, where it is based on legitimate interest;
- Data portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract;
- Withdraw your consent, at any time, without affecting previous processing.

8. Confidentiality and Security
JAVALI implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration, in line with the GDPR.
Nonetheless, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
9. Registration and Authentication
When registering on the Portal, you must create a username, email address, and password. You are responsible for safeguarding this information and must not share it with others.
We recommend using strong, unique passwords that differ from those used on other platforms.
10. Automatically Collected Information
The Portal uses tools that automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity, solely to improve your user experience and website performance.
Collected data may include:
- IP address;
- Screen size and device type;
- Browser type and settings;
- Preferred language;
- Geographical location;
- Visited pages and timestamps.
